In a move to curb the black money menace, PM Narendra Modi declared that from midnight, currency notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 denomination will not be legal tender.

Arnab Goswami has resigned as the Editor-in Chief of Times Now. Goswami was not seen on his prime time show The Newshour in the past couple of days.
Goswami was recently given “Y category” security cover from the government after the Intelligence Bureau perceived a threat to his life from “Pakistan-based terrorists groups”. He was to get 24-hour protection from around 20 security personnel.
Sources said that he announced his resignation at an editorial meeting on Tuesday evening. Goswami resigned from the post as he wanted to start something on his own, said sources.
